Breaking News has been swirling out of The White House over the last couple of weeks that Russian President, Vladimir Putin, will be visiting Washington, DC. Sarah Sanders announced this on July 19th, 2018, by saying the following on Twitter, “In Helsinki, @POTUS agreed to ongoing working level dialogue between the two security council staffs. President Trump asked @Ambjohnbolton to invite President Putin to Washington in the fall and those discussions are already underway.”. Since then, speculation has come out saying the Trump will not invite Putin till after the Muller Investigation is over, and I don’t blame him. Why would you have a Foreign President that supposedly melded in the US’s elections over, while an investigation is going on against him. Apparently, other Democrats don’t see it that way. As always, the left has gone up in chaos saying, “He’ll just meddle more” or “He’s a Spy”. National Security adviser John Bolton responded to all of this by saying, "The president believes that the next bilateral meeting with President Putin should take place after the Russia witch hunt is over, so we've agreed that it will be after the first of the year,". When he does come though, maybe he’ll bring Barron a soccer ball again!

President Trump is planning to make a big mark in history by starting a new branch of the Military, the Space Force. The President and Vice President have both voiced their support for this new branch that is supposed to protect the US from a “galaxy far, far, away”. Putting all the space jokes aside, making a new branch of the military would leave a mark in the presidency of Donald Trump like no other. The last branch was the Air Force which was established in 1947, so adding a new branch would be a major step. President Trump first announced his idea of this force on June 18th, 2018, by saying the following, “ I am here by directing the Department of Defense and Pentagon, to immediately lead the process necessary to establish a Space Force as the Sixth Branch of the armed forces ….We are also modernizing out of date space regulations, that haven’t been changed in many years.”.  As always, when the President feels strongly on an issue he takes to social media, simply saying, “Space Force all the way!”. The Vice President has also spoken on this topic an array of times saying, “Just as we’ve done in ages past, the United States will meet the emerging threats on this new battlefield,” he said in a speech at the Pentagon. “The time has come to establish the United States Space Force.”. The Truth Gazette fully supports President Trump’s decision on the new Sixth Branch of the Military, the Space Force!

Tuscaloosa Mayor and Democratic Alabama Governor Candidate Walt Maddox challenged opponent and incumbent Republican Candidate Kay Ivey to a series of 4 scheduled debates leading up to the November 6th Elections. Maddox’s office said this in a statement (July 31st), “7 days and still no answers. Governor, will you or will you not debate so that the people of Alabama can decide our state’s future?”. Governor Ivey’s office called the debates a “media stunt”. Ivey and Maddox met for the first time at the Alabama Sheriff’s Association Training Conference in Orange Beach, AL on Monday. Both candidates respectfully shook hands in front of the crowd beside Alabama’s Secretary of State John Merrill and Alabama’s Attorney General Steve Marshall (both previously interviewed by The Truth Gazette, thetruthgazette.com/interviews). Will a debate happen soon? Not likely.
